Our Story
After years of working for a number of acclaimed restaurants and bakeries, Chef Carlos Enriquez decided to start his own company rooted in whole grains, local organic ingredients, and sustainability. In 2017, Carlos founded Bakers Kneaded from humble beginnings with the support of his family in East Los Angeles. Family is at the cornerstone of what we do (our original starter is named after Carlos’ daughter) and we treat our clients and customers as such. Today, we service over 100 businesses from all corners of Southern California ranging from third-wave coffee shops, luxury hotels, and distinguished restaurants providing elevated breads and pastries. In 2023, we were thrilled to embark on our newest chapter of growth alongside Chef Joachim Splichal.
As the first bakery in the West Coast to create the bi-colored croissant, Bakers Kneaded stands as a beacon of both tradition and innovation, blending time-honored techniques with modern creativity. Our core mission is to bake in the community, for the community using whole grains, the freshest seasonal ingredients, and high-quality products.
